The Backwards Brain Bicycle


This eight minute video — seen by over six million on YouTube — demonstrates how stuck we can be, based on our ingrained understandings through life's journey.

“Once you have a rigid way of thinking in your head — sometimes you can't change that. Even if you want to.” 

It took the presenter in the video eight months to learn to ride this bike. It was designed in a way so that the turning to the right of the handlebars would actually turn the bike to the left. It took his son only two weeks to learn to ride this, since he was a child and did not have that conditioning around riding a bike already and around life as well.

It's interesting to see how the host goes when he returns to riding a normal bike near the end of the video. (Note the use of the 'click' word)
