Scientists have found that memories may be passed down through generations in our DNA

Via UTAOT, 30th December 2013

New research from Emory University School of Medicine, in Atlanta, has shown that it is possible for some information to be inherited biologically through chemical changes that occur in DNA. During the tests they learned that that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or stressful experiences – in this case a fear of the smell of cherry blossom – to subsequent generations.

According to the Telegraph, Dr Brian Dias, from the department of psychiatry at Emory University, said: ”From a translational perspective, our results allow us to appreciate how the experiences of a parent, before even conceiving offspring, markedly influence both structure and function in the nervous system of subsequent generations.

“Such a phenomenon may contribute to the etiology and potential intergenerational transmission of risk for neuropsychiatric disorders such as phobias, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.”

This suggests that experiences are somehow transferred from the brain into the genome, allowing them to be passed on to later generations.

The researchers now hope to carry out further work to understand how the information comes to be stored on the DNA in the first place.

They also want to explore whether similar effects can be seen in the genes of humans.

Professor Marcus Pembrey, a paediatric geneticist at University College London, said the work provided “compelling evidence” for the biological transmission of memory.

He added: “It addresses constitutional fearfulness that is highly relevant to phobias, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorders, plus the controversial subject of transmission of the ‘memory’ of ancestral experience down the generations.

“It is high time public health researchers took human transgenerational responses seriously.

“I suspect we will not understand the rise in neuropsychiatric disorders or obesity, diabetes and metabolic disruptions generally without taking a multigenerational approach.”

Professor Wolf Reik, head of epigenetics at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge, said, however, further work was needed before such results could be applied to humans.

He said: “These types of results are encouraging as they suggest that transgenerational inheritance exists and is mediated by epigenetics, but more careful mechanistic study of animal models is needed before extrapolating such findings to humans.”

May our DNA Carrying also spiritual and cosmic memories passed down in genes from our ancestors ?

I've had a theory for a while that parents who have had psychedelic experience(s) produce offspring who are "tuned" or "open" to a different way of perceiving "reality", & this info adds validity to that idea, methinks! :)

Hmm, I'm not sure about that one V! =)

It's OK if you're not sure - it's just a theory! I'm happy just waiting for "official scientists" to prove/disprove it, whilst *I* continue entertaining myself juggling tennis balls via telekinesis... ;)

Our energy and consciousness, our spirit picks a foetus based upon its compatibility with our vibration and energy at the time of choosing a life to be born into.

Before that takes place, the life is planned out in great detail by our selves, our guides and beings who's purpose is to assist in this process.

We have a soul contract which involves being born into a life with specific people around us, that is agreed upon beforehand. There are certain paths we will go down, based upon our free will, but in general, we come into a life with a purpose, a specific goal and task, along with many sub goals and tasks.

If we have chosen to mature from a child into an adult who possesses an increased psychic ability, that would be chosen beforehand based upon our primary goal and sub goals.

Our parent is usually part of our soul group, meaning they have been around in many lives we have had, acting in different roles within those lives. Members of a soul group are usually around a similar level of spiritual progression, with exceptions as one or two members may be lacking and a few others may be more advanced.

So, to be born into a life with one or two parents who are spiritually advanced, then this would not be random, this would be a choice and likely the parents in the life are part of the soul group of the person being born.

This means that the baby conceived by two people is likely to be of similar spiritual progression to them, if not more advanced. So therefore one or the other of them are likely to be advanced as well.

Practically and scientifically, what your saying may make sense but I believe synthetic based psychedelic drugs do not help us evolve spiritually as they have a limit of how high we can have experiences with dimensionally speaking. They also can provide access to lower vibrations which is not good for us.

Pure plant based medicine is a different story, (psychedelic based) as the plants have a connection to the earth and their own consciousness and life. If guided by the right people and used with the right intentions, they can bring about great healing, kundalini rises and therefore spiritual advancement. Also, the type of plant being used is also important here as well, as I think some will limit the vibrational level you can reach with the actual experiences. I can confirm from personal use that with San Pedro/Huachuma has the ability to let you reach a high level of dimensional experience as with my first session I had, I believe I was shown what it was capable of. (the cactus in use for my first session was a rare one as it was said to have a certain amount of edges to it which represented the vibrational level it could reach)

So, after thinking about your theory a little bit more, what you say makes sense if they have used plant based medicine to grow spiritually and raise their spiritual vibrations, not synthetic based drugs. But a key element here is being guided by the right people during the sessions and using intentions beforehand to work on issues.

Plant medicine, while very effective, is simply another tool and method to get to a high spiritual state (depending on how its used and peoples intentions for using it). While meditation, leading a spiritual life, having a specific healthy diet (organic vegan is best), recognising our ego's.. responding from consciousness, actively participating in regular conscious astral projection, having many lives to learn lessons, and so on... would also bring about the possibility of having offspring that are near your level of spirituality or even higher if you have reached a reasonable state yourself.

Well written, good sir! Thanks for intuiting my deeper point :) I'll have to re-read your reply to get a fuller meaning from all you wrote; thanks for the additional info!. & I agree that plant-based 'medicine' is superior & preferable to synthetic. My mother admitted that she tried mescaline once before I was conceived, but I don't know about my father. Now: back to the tennis balls... ;)
