An ice tsunami in Ontario, Canada

Back on May the 11th, 2013, an ice tsunami started moving very slowly towards houses on the south side of Lac des Mille Lacs, Thunder Bay in Ontario.

It is said to have destroyed more than 20 houses within 15 minutes. As you can see in the video below, the ice is moving so slowly and looks very strange is it comes along the ground.

I have certainly never seen anything like that on land!

very ice age-y conditions there. that is similar to what scientists are saying they think the ice ages that rolled in over night were like. So now we are seeing how it could happen first hand. Much like the recent South Dakota kill-off of cattle dying standing on their feet from ice and snow and frigid cold.
